A perfect marriage of the 18th Century and the 21st Century - very impressed with the facilities - all the comforts of home in a beautiful bush setting.
Melton bushwalkers.

A picture perfect setting for a quaint little cottage. It reminded me a lot of my childhood - combustion stove, wood chopping, outside dunny, water tanks, few 'mod cons' but lots of birds and other wildlife... I found myself reflecting upon those tranquil contented days on the verandah. The lesson learnt: you can get it back!

What a marvelous experience of how we all could choose to live honouring the Earth. Time seems to progress at a mellow natural rate here... so inspiring.
Jen, Jarrod, Charlotte and Felix, Blairgowrie

It was absolutely wonderful to be cozy warm inside with the rain pattering on the roof surrounded by the wilderness for the first cold snap of winter. The walk you sent us on was eye opening and incredible. The track was covered in snow and animal footprints. It broke my heart to think it is planned for logging.
Rachel, Melbourne.

Thanks for your vision, passion and generosity. It's wonderful to return to the 'path not taken' and be inspired by your example to do it again, to "walk lightly" on the Earth - to "go into the woods and live deliberately" (Thoreau). We have never felt so relaxed so easily.
Robyn and Morgan, Gembrook.

Our walk through the forest of huge trees was absolutely amazing. Something I will never forget.
Darren, Queensland.

Another world in every sense.
Kathy, Sydney.

Wonderful "neigh"bours and we had a great time sliding down the rocks in the "spa-pools".
Juliet and John.

Loved the forests, the bellbirds, the quiet, the stars and the country air.
Rick, Melbourne.

All round splendid experience even the midnight toilet visit with 7 yo daughter was magic; the din of the froggy folk and four moonlit pretty horses just outside the high altitude thunder box. The foal stood childlike watching the toilet ritual and was good for a nuzzle and blast of warm air afterwards. Priceless stuff.

Night black. Stars bright. Stove warm. Water hot. Bed soft. Morning misty moisty. Hill to the lookout steep. Jacarri - a reminder that life could be lived more simply.
Judith, Warragul.

Writing this from a sun drenched verandah in a t.shirt. So this is where the Melbourne sun hides in Winter! The view upon waking this morning looked like a projection on an invisible Hollywood screen to this city girl. Jacarri and all its resident beings should be listed on the medical benefits scheme - frog therapy, wren therapy, dew-on-spider-web therapy, chook ballet therapy and especially view-of-wattle-blossom-behind- manna-gum therapy. Thanks for creating this place. It"s perfect.

And I thought I lived in the "middle of no-where" in Kentucky. Thanks for introducing me to chopping my own wood.

A free, gentle spirit pervades this lovely hide-away.

... appreciated all the rustic pieces ... creative and cohesive themes. The rainforest walk is a must - regardless of the government slant.
Geoff and Lee, Research.

A day of talk, a night of silence, and morning of bird song. A wonderful kip and shower a Jacarri.
Bill, Melbourne.

... it is beautiful in sunshine and in rain. The "loo with a view" must rank as the best of it's kind anywhere. Amazing variety of wildflowers along Ellery Creek Track. When will the "powers that be" come here and see for themselves that these forests are priceless and must be protected for all timeŠ
The Gambol family, Doncaster.

This is a little piece of heaven.
Lynette and Frans.

image of children riding a clydesdale horseFabulous place - but far more interesting is the fabulous person. I have never seen anyone with your abilities or dedication. All this without a whinge but instead a delighted smile. My two boys will leave here with impressions that will mould their life for the better.
Suresh, Bacchus Marsh.

The fresh goats milk was a revelation! Thank you.
Nick and Leanne, West Melbourne.

A beautiful cottage full of loving attention to both practicalities and aesthetics. Quite inspirationalŠ appreciate this haven in the forest. Keep up the great conscious work Jill. May YOU be the destination for weary souls and the cottage an extension of you.
Gustar and Liz, Melbourne.

Still and beautiful days for sitting out on the verandah.

Thanks for giving us continued possibilities towards life!

The forests within the Park were magnificent, the solitude of walks with only wildlife and rainforest was uplifting, the crystal clear rivers and streams a real delight. Let's hope the last old growth forests are added to the Park to preserve a time that once was.
Kris.

Wondrous environment, charming hospitality.
Marilyn, Canberra.

... delighted in the peace and quiet and home comforts. Bird life is unique.

A wonderful experience for us city folk. This is certainly "heaven on a stick"!
